Individual
Psychotherapy

I provide individual counselling services for children, youth, and adults. Additionally, I have experience working with parents of young people who are struggling and people living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes Counselling

As someone living with Type 1 Diabetes, I am aware of the challenges that come with living with this chronic illness day-in and day-out. I provide both virtual and in-person options and am glad to speak with you regarding the support you may need to live your best life with diabetes.

Virtual Therapy

I provide online secure video- conferencing services and telephone services that are PHIPA compliant and adhere to all the privacy regulations in Canada. I am able to provide services to residents of Ontario.

I always work from a client-centered, strengths-based approach to counselling. However, I customize psychotherapeutic interventions depending on client concerns, personality, and goals. Some of the interventions I may use include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-based techniques.

About me

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with over a decade of experience working with children/youth and adults, both in a counselling and teaching capacity. I have Type 1 Diabetes and love supporting and working alongside people within the Type 1 Diabetes community! Outside of work I have a passion for the outdoors, and spend time working with young people each year as an outdoor educator. I value nature, connecting with people in ways that will be meaningful to them, and finding balance in our lives.
