Child/Youth
Psychotherapy
Always providing evidence-based therapy techniques, I do individual therapy with children (ages 7+), youth, and adults. Some areas I frequently work with include Anxiety, OCD, Chronic Illness/Cancer, Type 1 Diabetes, and major life transitions such as divorce, parenting struggles or adjusting to University life. I have a background as a teacher so bring this into my work and can provide help with learning difficulties and difficulties at school-this is a large reason I came into the counselling field!
Type 1 Diabetes Counselling
As someone living with Type 1 Diabetes, I am aware of the daily challenges that it can present. Being diagnosed at age 4 fundamentally impacted my life, and this has informed my practice in many ways.

I work with individual clients and families and would love to speak with you regarding the support you may need to live your best life with diabetes for you or your loved one.
Virtual & In-Person Therapy-All Ages
I provide in person services at 1685 Main Street W. in Hamilton ON (on Mondays) and online secure video-conferencing services and telephone services (from Tuesday to Friday) with children, youth and adults. All services are PHIPA compliant and adhere to all privacy regulations in Canada.

About me
Bringing close to two decades of experience working with children, youth, and adults, both in a counselling and teaching capacity, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) whose experience ranges from working with high-risk youth in residential, secure treatment, and school-based settings. Prior to opening my own private practice I worked for several years in a group private practice in the West end of Ottawa.
Living with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of four has informed my practice, and outside of work I find solace in the outdoors and any sort of creative project. I value nature, connecting with people in ways that will be meaningful to them, and finding balance in life.
